Goats and sheep

Rare breeds among the regulars, including Castlemilk Moorit and Manx Loaghtan sheep, plus the goats that had triplets in February 2026.

The goats and sheep are the hands-on end of the farm. You can feed them from the bags at reception, and the goats will make sure you know it.

Some of the flock are rare breeds. Look for the small brown Castlemilk Moorit sheep and the Manx Loaghtan with their extra horns. They are part of the reason the farm keeps sheep at all: rare breeds need people to keep them going.

In February 2026 one of the goats had triplets, a first for the farm, in the same week we reopened after the fire. They are no longer tiny but they are still the ones that headbutt your knee for attention.
