What is in the day

  • Entry for the whole day, 10am to 5pm.
  • An animal encounter talk for your group, and the public talks through the day (fox feeding, meerkats, the Cuddle Club).
  • Animal handling with a keeper: rabbits, guinea pigs and, when they are running, the reptiles.
  • Feeding the goats, sheep, llamas and alpacas.
  • The play barn, play castle, trampolines and crazy golf.
  • Picnic areas for packed lunches, under cover if it rains. Indoor lunch room availability to be confirmed

Curriculum: living things and their habitats, animal needs and life cycles, where food comes from, and a lot of counting legs. We are happy to shape the talk to your topic; say so when you book. Curriculum notes and a risk assessment PDF to be supplied for download

Practical things

Coaches

Please tell us you are coming by coach so we can make space. Coach parking to be confirmed

Wet weather

The play barn is three storeys and dry, the Cuddle Club is indoors, and the talks go ahead in most weather. Bring coats and wellies anyway.

Hand washing

Stations are next to the paddocks and the picnic tables. Please build it into your routine after every animal and before lunch.

Toilets and first aid

Accessible toilets on site. Tell any member of staff if you need the first aider.

Booking terms for groups

These are the terms we have used for group bookings. The family are re-confirming them for 2027; anything that changes will be updated here before your visit.

  • Group rates apply to a minimum of 20 paying visitors. Smaller groups pay for 20.
  • Bookings must be made in advance by phone or email. A deposit of £50 holds the date; busy periods cannot be held without it.
  • Payment is made in one lump sum on or before arrival, by the group leader, before the group enters. Individual payment at the gate is not available.
  • If you need an invoice before the visit, ask when booking. Invoices carry a £10 administration charge.
  • If members of your group are arriving separately, send a guest list one week before. Anyone not on it pays the standard entry price.
  • Children must be supervised by the group's adults at all times, including in the play barn and on the play castle.

Full terms.
