1. Who we are

Animal Farm Adventure Park is operated by AGL Attractions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08933291), registered office The Withies, Red Road, Berrow, Somerset. We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

Questions about your data: email info@animal-farm.co.uk, ring 01278 751628, or write to Red Road, Berrow, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset TA8 2RW. ICO registration number to be added if registered

2. What we collect, and why

Enquiry forms and email

When you use a form on this site or email us, we receive what you send: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and the content of your message (for parties, that may include a child's first name, age and any allergies). We use it to answer you and, if you book, to run the booking. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Forms are delivered by email. Name the form-handling service once chosen

Memberships

To issue a photo membership card we collect each member's name, date of birth, a photograph, your address and proof of purchase. We use them to make the card, check it at the gate and contact you about your membership. Lawful basis: performance of a contract. We keep membership records for the membership year plus 12 months, then delete them.

Tickets bought online

Online tickets and memberships are sold through Beyonk, who process your payment and send us your name, email and what you bought so we can let you in. Beyonk's own privacy notice applies to the checkout. We do not see or store your card details.

Photography at the park

A member of staff sometimes takes photographs for our Facebook page and this website. If you or your children would rather not be photographed, tell reception when you arrive and we will make sure of it. We do not publish identifiable photographs of children without a parent's or carer's permission. If a photo of you is published and you would like it removed, email us and we will take it down.

CCTV

Confirm whether CCTV operates at the park, where, and how long footage is kept; this section is a placeholder Where CCTV is in use it is for the safety of visitors, staff and animals, and footage is kept for a short period unless needed for an incident. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Website use

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and to keep the site running. These are kept briefly and not used to identify you.

The site loads one display font from Google Fonts. Your browser requests it directly from Google, which sees your IP address. Google's privacy policy applies to that request.

Maps on this site are shown only after you tap "Load map". At that point your browser connects to Google Maps and Google's privacy policy applies.

We do not currently run analytics on this site and it sets no analytics cookies.

3. Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the farm: our email provider, our ticketing provider (Beyonk), the service that delivers form submissions, and our web host. Each acts as our processor under a contract, or as an independent controller for its own service (payments, Google). We do not sell personal information or share it for marketing.

Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

4. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Bookings and memberships: the booking or membership period plus 12 months; financial records for 6 years as HMRC requires.
  • Photographs published on our channels: until you ask us to remove them or we retire them.
  • CCTV: retention period to be confirmed.

5. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it (for example analytics or a published photo). Email info@animal-farm.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

6. Children

This website is aimed at parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13 online. Party forms ask for a child's first name and age so we can plan the day; we keep that only as long as the booking.

7. Cookies and local storage

This site works without cookies. The only things it stores in your browser are:

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working.
