If you have been here before, this will look different. The old website had been, to put it politely, taken over by people who were not us. We have started again from scratch. Everything on here now is written by people who work on the farm, and it is built to work on a phone, because that is where most of you read it, usually in a caravan in Brean while it rains.
The important bits are the same. We are open every day, 10 till 5, last entry 4. Adults and children are £14, under-2s free. Fox feeding is at 11 and 4. No dogs, sorry, apart from assistance dogs. All of that is on the plan your visit page now, along with the answers to the questions we get asked most.
Since last winter
Most of you know that we had a fire in November. We lost a building, the feed store and some animals we cared about a great deal. It was the hardest few months this farm has had. What got us through it was you: the messages, the fundraising pages people set up without being asked, the families who came in the week after Christmas when we opened for £8, just to show up.
We reopened fully on 14 February, the same week one of the goats had triplets. First time that has happened here. They are a good deal bigger now.
There is more on the our story page, and we will write more when we are ready.
What is coming
Online tickets and memberships are being set up so you can pay before you arrive. Until then it is the gate, cash or card, same as always. We will put a note here and on Facebook when that goes live.
If you spot something wrong on the site, an old price, a talk time that has changed, tell us. Email info@animal-farm.co.uk or ring 01278 751628. It is our site now, so we can actually fix it.
Thanks for reading this far. See you at the 4 o’clock feed.
